In 1921...the Korean tiger was said to be extinct after its last capture on Daedeok Mountain in Gyeongju.
In fact, it was very close.
We searched eight provinces across the country and were only able to rescue two families.
I can still recall the last images of those we couldn't save.
It's been more than 100 years,
but I still feel sad when I think about them.
I've seen it with my own two eyes and realized it.
We can not coexist with humans.
That's why I've come to save you.
Hang in there and wait for us, my friends!
But I'm getting old,
and my eyes are a little dim these days.
If I don't see you and pass by, shout out. ;)

1921년에 말이야…경주 대덕산에서 마지막으로 포획된 후 ‘한국 호랑이’는 절멸했다고 알려졌지.
사실 그때는 정말 위험했어.
전국 8도를 뒤지고 뒤져서 겨우 두 가족만 구출할 수 있었거든.
그때 구하지 못한 동족들의 마지막 모습들이
지금도 생생하게 떠올라.
벌써 100년이 넘게 흘렀지만 아직도 그들을 생각하면 서글퍼져.
나는 내 두 눈으로 똑똑히 보고 깨닳았어.
우리는 인간과 공존할 수 없다는걸 말이야.
그래서 내가 너희를 구하러 온거야.
조금만 버티고 우리를 기다려 친구들아!
근데 내가 나이가 나이인지라 요즘 밤눈이 좀 어두워.
만약 내가 너희를 못보고 지나친다면 이렇게 외쳐줘. ;)
