RF 카메라 특유의 조용한 셔터 소리와 느낌이 어찌나 좋던지
근 10년간 항상 카메라를 들고 다니며
내가 사랑하던 사람들과 공간들을 사진에 담았습니다.
하지만 시간이 흐름에 따라
서울은 너무나 빠른 속도로 변했고
내가 사랑하던 사람들과 공간들도
사진 속에만 남겨지게 되었습니다.
35mm 필름을 감고 노출과 포커스를 맞추고
숨을 멈추고 셔터를 누르는 순간마저
도시는 기다려주지 않는다는 생각이 들자

나는 더이상 카메라를 들고 다니지 않게 되었습니다.

The first camera I bought was a used Leica M6.
I loved the quiet shutter sound unique to RF cameras, so I have been carrying M6 nearly 10 years, taking pictures of people and spaces I love.
But as time went on, Seoul changed so quickly, and so quickly the people and spaces I loved were left only in the photos.
I stopped carrying my camera with me anymore when I realized that the city wouldn’t wait for me yo wind up film, expose and focus, hold my breath, and press the shutter button.
